Moses' mother had to hide the baby, otherwise the Egyptians would have killed it. That's why she thinks about how to save that boy. Moses is three months old here. The mother takes a waterproof basket and puts little Moses in it and hides the basket on the banks of the Nile. After a while a daughter of Pharaoh comes to the Nile for a bath. Suddenly she sees the basket in the reeds. She says to a servant: "Please get me the basket." When the princess opens the basket, she sees the little baby. Little Moses cries and the princess takes pity on him. She doesn't want him to be killed and has the child brought to the palace.
