The history of European garb from the Bronze Age to the end of the Middle Ages is presented simply, briefly and comprehensibly. The authors, Xenia Mohr (née Krämer) and Michael Störmer, are historians by training. Dr. Martin Baumeister, who advised on the creation, is an archaeologist (currently responsible for the weapons collection of the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg). All three are practitioners of the first hour and experienced do-it-yourselfers.

The successor to the best-selling self-experience book has been massively revised, over 50 drawings have been recreated, errors have been weeded out, etc.

The book will have about 160 pages in DragonSys large format, over 200 individual b&w illustrations in about 150 figures and nearly 100 tailoring instructions.
This new edition has been carefully revised by Katja Rother (author of Fantastische Gewandung selber schneidern). The graduate designer Lina Barz has created almost 50 new drawings. The chapters have been reorganised and detailed indexes have been added. The book of garb has thus become much clearer, more concise and even more practical.
