Jäger 1943-1944. The author has succeeded in tracking down almost 300 survivors of Jagdgeschwader 5 (pilots and technicians) and numerous relatives of those killed or missing. Their reports, pictures and documents help to save from oblivion a period of the Second World War that has usually received little attention. In the form of a war diary and illustrated with a large number of b/w photos, the missions of JG 5 in the period from 1 July 1943 to 5 June 1944 are documented. (Mombeek)
