Born in Africa in 1949, he studied history and in 1971 founded Heimdal, a magazine for Norman history dedicated to the great hours of the history of this region: the Vikings and William the Conqueror. This magazine in turn provided the basis for a regional publishing house in 1975, which soon dedicated itself to the landing and the battle in Normandy and thus became a pioneer. From 1990 to 1995, the golden age followed, during which the memories of numerous veterans who became legends were collected. As with all independent companies, the road was rocky, but Heimdal, with this wealth of experience, opened up discoveries from antiquity to the Second World War and the Middle Ages to its readers.
