Illustrated with a large number of contemporary b/w photos, this pictorial booklet shows the "Fletcher" class destroyers with square bridge construction of the U.S. Navy from World War II. Before the actual picture section, there is a short text section that informs about the development history of this type of destroyer. In addition, there is a three-page list with information (hull number and name, manufacturer, keel laying, launching, commissioning and whereabouts) on all ships of this class built between February 1942 and October 1943. The pictures shown document structural differences between the individual destroyers of the "Fletcher" class, due to the different shipyards.
