Wolves and accessories (Retreat from Moscow) 1812

Around 1812.
The winter retreat was accompanied by increasingly brazen packs of wolves, attracted by carrion and corpses along the route. Dead and dying horses, but also sick and exhausted soldiers became their prey. The grey predators lost their natural shyness and not infrequently had to be fought off.
Our series shows, in addition to various wolves, accessories of all kinds: wells, campfires with cauldrons, rifle pyramids, vehicles and objects left behind, broken equipment, horse carcasses, etc.
Overall, the series is excellent for the realistic decoration of a "retreat":

The Battle of the Berezina is the name given to the fighting during the retreat of Napoleon's Grande Armée from the troops of Tsar Alexander I across the Berezina (now Belorussian Bjaresina) from 26 to 28 November 1812.
This battle was the last in the Russian campaign of 1812 before the retreat of the French army across the Niemen on 14 December 1812.
