(after Spitzweg). A curious hare watches the Sunday hunter who is tired of red wine.... In a chipboard box. Height 3 cm. Franz Carl Spitzweg (obsolete also: Karl Spitzweg; * 5 February 1808 in Unterpfaffenhofen; 23 September 1885 in Munich) was a well-known German late Romantic painter. Carl Spitzweg created over 1500 paintings and drawings. Spitzweg depicted people in their contemporary bourgeois milieu. In small-format pictures he depicted the Biedermeier petty bourgeoisie, oddballs and romantic incidents. Although he depicted human weaknesses, he did not depict the wicked or the mean; anything coarse was foreign to Spitzweg.... - Wikipedia -
