Battalion gun, profile, Austria-Hungary, 1756-63. In the 18th century, the term howitzer was used to describe not only the gun but also its projectile. Howitzers were "thrown" into a town, for example.
Note: Prey guns were always further used by the enemy. Thus, for example, a Prussian model painted yellow could be used again by the Austrians. Or vice versa.
