Indian women and children in camp. Everyday life took place in and around the tipi (Indian tent). Indian women at their daily work and the children playing beside them. Food, clothing, even the tipis depended on bison, as the tents of the prairie tribes consisted of portable poles and sheets of buffalo hide. Romund engraving.
