The Huns warriors, under Attila (King Etzel) were active from the Hungarian area in many parts of Europe.
Attila ( 453) was "king" (rex) of the warrior federation of the Huns from 434 (as co-ruler together with his brother Bleda) or 444/45 (as sole ruler) until his death. The centre of his sphere of power was the area of present-day Hungary, where the Huns established a short-lived empire in the 5th century, which experienced the greatest development of power under Attila, but collapsed again shortly after his death.
