German Fusiliers

Fire by division, (profile), Austria-Hungary 1756-1763.
The concept of a "Division" was used at that time for a strategig subdivision within a battalion.
The fusiliers comprised the bulk of the Austrian infantry. The german fusilier regiments were known as heavy infantry.
