For 20 years, the ribbon catalogue has been a recognised standard work and follows the internationally proven OEK (Germany Catalogue of Orders and Decorations 1800-1945) in terms of structure, layout and numbering. It comprises 753 ribbons and thus covers all state-awarded, wearable orders and decorations. It is based on several private ribbon collections and the holdings of the International Phaleristic Archive (ipa), now the Central Office for Scientific Research on Orders in Munich. All ribbon illustrations are taken directly from the original ribbons without any intermediate steps, which is reflected in the colour fastness. The ribbon catalogue is an indispensable aid for collectors and is extremely easy to use. All order ribbons are reproduced on a scale of 1:1 (in width). The current edition has been completely revised.
