After the Napoleonic Wars and with a Europe that still healed the wounds of a war as hard as it was cruel. Spain enters the decade of the thirties of the nineteenth century, still overcoming the losses of its colonies in America and facing a civil war that would be known as the First Carlist War. This lancer of the Regimiento de Lanceros de Borbón, is a good sample of the still colorful uniforms that prevailed in the time. Cavalry, both on one side and on another side, had to play a major role in this conflict.
