In 1856 Fordyce Beals designed the first revolvers for the then already well-known American gun company Remington. The pocket revolvers Beals developed came in three distinctive models, all of which are presented in this work. The large number of very good, almost exclusively colour photos show all the details of the Beals revolvers as well as, in many cases, the accessories, such as pistol cases, bullets, powder flasks and bullet tongs.
