This work is a detailed technical study and history of the off-road Mercedes Benz G4. Adolf Hitler himself favoured this vehicle for his journeys and parades before and during the Second World War. Only three vehicles out of a total of 57 built still exist today, and only one of these three is still in its complete original configuration, namely the one that Hitler gave to the Spanish dictator General Franco. In great detail, the book presents the development and production history of the Mercedes Benz G4 as well as its technology, equipment and its use in the 1930s and 1940s.
