The focus of the presentation is the Battle of Chiclana (Barrosa) in 1811, which took place in connection with the siege of the Spanish port of Cadiz. The battle is embedded in its historical and strategic background, its course is described in detail and its consequences are also examined. Of course, the book also deals with the Spanish, British, Portuguese and French forces that took part in the battle. Their composition, organisation, tactics and equipment are discussed.
