Penthesilea or Penthesileia is the daughter of the Amazon queen Otrere and the Olympian god of war Ares in Greek mythology. In the legend of the Trojan War, she is herself the queen of the Amazons. Penthesilea is mentioned in the Aithiopis, an epic attributed to Arctinos of Miletus around 750 BC, and briefly in Vergil's Aeneid around 20 BC. - Wikipedia -
