Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (* believed to have been 1 May 1769 in Dublin, Ireland; Ä 14 September 1852 at Walmer Castle near Deal, Kent), was a field marshal and the outstanding British Militärführer of the Napoleonic period, as well as British Außen and Prime Minister.
