In the first part, booklet 11 of the "Modern Luftwaffe Unit History Series" presents the history of the Tactical Air Force Squadron 73 "Steinhoff" from its formation in 1959 to the mid-1970s. Richly illustrated with exclusively contemporary black-and-white and colour photographs, the squadron chronicle documents all important events from 1959 to 1975, the flying personnel and, of course, the two aircraft types operated by TaktLwG 73: Canadair CL.13B "Sabre" (1959-1967), Fiat G.91 "Gina" (1963-1975).
In addition to photos of everyday service at the squadron "Steinhoff", the work also shows numerous colour illustrations of unit insignia.
