This reference book tells the story of one of the leading French aviation companies of the pre-war period, founded by the brilliant engineer Edouard Nieuport, who barely had time to see his creations fly across the skies of Europe. The various versions of the Nieuport monoplanes, which were in service with various air forces until 1917, were characterised by an aerodynamic design that gave them speed and were the forerunners of the Nieuport biplanes that were to prevail in European wartime airspace. The story is told on 205 pages with 330 photos and 38 colour profiles.
