The book tells the story of the Roland D.II and D.III fighter aircraft in Bulgarian service. Bulgaria was at the end of a long supply line, and Germany needed as many front-line fighter aircraft as possible, so Bulgaria was only able to procure a small number of Roland fighter aircraft for its air defence purposes. The story is told in 90 pages with 99 photos and 11 colour profiles. True-to-scale drawings of the Roland D.II and D.III are also included.
