The history of the world-famous German Bf 109 fighter in foreign service has been documented only fragmentarily until now - a gap that this publication fills. In addition to Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Finland and Romania, the USSR, for example, acquired a few examples before the war. After 1945, other states such as Great Britain, France, Sweden and even Israel came into possession of this type. The history of the use and testing of the BF 109 abroad is described in detail in words and pictures, with numerous unpublished photos and colour profiles rounding off the whole book.
