, together with an explanation of the Arabic script contained therein. A very interesting historical document, which offers an exact bw illustration of the Turkish main flag captured during the successful siege of the fortress of Neuhäussel in November 1685 by the Swabian district troops under Margrave Carl Gustav of Baden-Durlach. In addition to the exact reproduction of the flag, the plate contains a bw drawing of the siege, showing the fortress itself, the surrounding camp of the attackers and their entrenchments. There is also a six-page information text explaining the flag with its dimensions, decorations and inscriptions.
