In this game, two to six players take on the roles of WW2 British prisoners of war in the German prison camp at Colditz Castle, which is considered escape-proof. The players have to gather their equipment for the escape in different ways, plan their escape routes and coordinate in order to evade the German guards. One of the maximum six players takes on the role of the German guard officer, whose task it is, of course, to prevent the British escape specialists from escaping or to recapture them by surveillance.
This is an expanded and visually upgraded version of a classic board game, where not only have the rules been improved, but the playing cards have been given beautiful colour drawings. However, it is still possible to play the game according to the old rules.
