During the Second World War, the era of battleships was brought to an end by aircraft carriers. "Pacific Command" is a miniature war game about the naval battles of World War II in the Pacific, in which fleets of battleships, cruisers, aircraft carriers and destroyers fight fierce battles under a sky full of fighter planes. "Pacific Command" features a unique "fog of war" mechanic that simulates both the scale of these conflicts and the uncertainty under which the admirals had to operate. By initially deploying your fleet as radar blitzes, Pacific Command allows you to conceal the true position and configuration of your forces until it is too late for your opponent, the trap snaps shut and you descend upon them with torpedoes, bombs and guns. The system is supported by an elegant dice pool mechanic for handling shots, simple movement for ships and aircraft, and a flexible resource for command pieces that allows you to outwit and outmanoeuvre your opponent by tricking them into deploying their ships and aircraft before you reveal your true plan. With each victory, you take a decisive step towards victory in the Pacific.
