The two documentaries on the DVD deal with the legendary ancient city of Troy. The first, "Troy - Battlefield of Myths" (running time approx. 30 minutes), attempts to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Trojan War described in the "Iliad" by the poet Homer. The second, "Old Gold and New Myths" (running time approx. 43 minutes) deals with the events surrounding the excavations of the German merchant and amateur archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann in 1870 on the hill of Hisarlik at the Turkish Dardanelles, who on this occasion uncovered an impressive treasure of gold that became famous as the "Treasure of Priam".
