Describes the story of the top-secret Operation Bernhard, launched in 1940, which involved the counterfeiting of large quantities of British pound and later US dollar notes. For this purpose, the Germans had rounded up 142 prisoners in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp who had worked as printers and typesetters before their imprisonment. The prisoners were to produce the banknotes under the strictest surveillance. One of these counterfeiters against his will tells his story here.
