Military Geniuses of Antiquity. The focus is on the armed forces of Alexander the Great, Hannibal and Julius Caesar. The framework conditions for the success of the Macedonian, Carthaginian and Roman armies at the time of their most popular military leaders, the structures, different types of troops and army logistics are examined, as well as three of their most famous battles, which are presented in detail: Issos (333 BC), Cannae (216 BC) and Pharsalos (48 BC).
