In this volume the reader will find the history and activities of more than 90 airfields of the British Fighter Command during World War 2. Arranged according to the individual fighter groups (No. 9 to No. 14), the individual stationing locations are presented in alphabetical order.
Contemporary bw photographs from the war years, colour photographs of the present condition of the installations, including aerial photographs, and in some cases bw and/or colour maps provide the illustrations for the accompanying texts, which describe the history of the respective airbase.
