The Bristol Blenheim was one of the Royal Air Force's most important combat aircraft in the crucial early years of the Second World War. Not only did it form the backbone of the light bomber fleet, it also served as a night fighter during the Battle of Britain, carried out attacks on ships and was eventually used in every theatre of war by every RAF command. Later, the Blenheim played an important, albeit little-noticed, role as a training aircraft for crews. This publication covers in detail all variants of the aircraft, the squadrons that flew it, its missions, foreign users and the aircraft that have survived to this day.
