From raw steel to the finished Damascus knife.
This volume is about blades made of Damascus steel. The reader learns what Damascus steel is and how it is made. In the practical part, different types of steel are then welded together in the forge fire to form Damascus and a blade is forged from it. This is fitted with a handle and finished to form a complete knife.

All the operations are carried out with simple tools that do not place any great demands on the reader in terms of equipment. The forge is built from a simple grill. Each step is explained and documented in photos.
