The "schwere Panzerabteilung " (heavy Tank Battalion) 504 fought on the battlefields of Tunisia, Sicily and Italy. This fourth book in the series "Der Tiger" uses images taken by photographers of the Propaganda Companies and private photographs taken by members of the "Abteilung" (Tank Battalion"), arranged in chronological order by place and sequence to show the Tiger in the field, under maintenance and in action.
Content: 1. Formation in January 1943, Fallingbostel, training; 2. March 1943, 1/504 transported to Tunesia; 3. March to May 1943, missions in Tunesia; 4. May 1943, 2/504 transported to Sicily; 5. May to June 1943, training in Sicily; 6. July 1943, combats in Sicily, assignment to Panzerregiment "Herman Göring" (Tank Regiment "Herman Goering"); 7. November 1943 to May 1944, reestablishment, training in Wezep and France; 8. June 1944 to May 1945, missions in Tuscany and northern Italy.
