Description
During the Vietnam War, various units of the U.S. Army Studies and Observations Group (SOG) undertook dangerous reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines and even into the neutral countries of Laos and Cambodia. To this day, many legends and misinformation surround these troops, their insignia and their missions. This volume presents the reconnaissance units "Asp", "Colorado", "Hawaii", "Idaho", "Indigo", "Montana" and "Rattler" with the help of rare and partly still unknown photos. The photos show very well the different uniforms, equipment and armament of these special units. In addition, there is an extensive appendix in which, among other things, the insignia of the seven reconnaissance teams are illustrated by means of large colour photos.
