Description
Part 1: Armoured Vehicles in Action. This series is aimed at modellers of all disciplines who want to learn how to tell or embellish a story with their kits, while learning all the essential techniques of all related modelling categories: for the diorama builder, the vehicle freak and the figure painter who want to quickly and easily learn the techniques and procedures of the other modelling disciplines. To achieve this, a team of top modellers from all three disciplines have been searching for years for a way to make these techniques accessible to everyone in our hobby.
All of the techniques and methods shown in this trilogy are accessible to everyone and have been designed to be as inviting as possible, removing any barriers and expanding the opportunities to enjoy this hobby to the fullest.
In addition to the classic techniques, we have also developed a few new ones that we felt were most important to be as quick to implement as they are simple. The overall package of these techniques and procedures also includes the most suitable materials - which we have selected and carefully tested from the countless ones currently available on the market - and is arranged according to levels of difficulty, from the least to the most labour-intensive. Different alternative solutions are presented so that each modeller can filter out the one best suited to his needs. Probably the most important and original approach, however, is the transfer of techniques between the different disciplines. A workflow between the different disciplines can be seen, for example, which leads to the fact that painting techniques known from the vehicle sector are also used in figure painting. This makes it easier for a tank modeller to paint figures that should be presented together with his vehicle kit. We also look at the possibility of painting military vehicles with a hairbrush, as if it were a figure, and the combination of airbrushing and brush painting to achieve the best results.
