A hybrid system with DCC and Motorola protocol for the control of model railway layouts.
The volume contains the detailed building instructions (46 circuit diagrams, 25 circuit board templates, processors double-sided for manual through-hole plating, decoders etc. single-sided) for a complete digital control of two-wire model railway layouts, e.g. Roco, Fleischmann, Märklin with DCC decoders. In order to make the self-construction inexpensive, a hybrid system was designed, which uses DCC- (full NMRA standard 10000 addr.) for vehicles, and the Motorola protocol (1900 objects) for switching objects. The core is the microprocessor (80C535) supported control unit with input from keyboards, track diagram interlocking and PC. Much space is devoted to the description of transmission formats, protocols and configuration variables. Features: Extensive software test aids, boosters for 5 and 10A, decoders for solenoid items, motor drives, light signals (multi-word with dark control), feedback, route support, multiple traction, brake generator, reversing loop switch and much more. Software + compiler available on request.
