Issue 1 of The Weathering Technical Guide (TWTG), a more technical and detailed magazine formula. More defined and didactic, with more specific and specialised topics and a variable number of pages for each issue, tailored to the needs of each topic. All in all, a clearer and more direct magazine that gives you everything you need to know to paint your models quickly and professionally. TWTG is an evolution based on everything we have learned so far. In your hands you have a dynamic visual concept, with a more practical format that you can integrate into your workbench, with improved quality of the articles and the techniques explained. To launch this new project, we decided to focus on metallic painting, a technique that still intimidates many model makers because it is technically very complex compared to standard paints. This in turn limits the number of models these modelers dare to tackle, especially when it comes to themes like cars, trucks and motorcycles, aircraft and sci-fi models; though metallics are a theme that find important applications in all genres of the hobby: from military vehicles to historical and fantasy figures, to ships and trains. In short, this first issue of TWTG will help you overcome all the challenges that metallic surfaces present in your next projects. In the Metallized issue, you'll find a variety of models in metallic paint, such as a Mercedes-Benz 300SL in aluminium livery, a Panzertriebwagen, a Sicaran tank, and Space Marines in metallic armour from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the iconic P-51 Mustang from the Second World War in a classic natural metal finish, and the super robot Mazinger Z. All of the painting and weathering techniques featured in this issue of TWTG are explained in extremely detailed, step-by-step articles by some of the world's best modelers, who use high-quality images and precise descriptions to show how to perform each technique. This first issue of TWTG is sure to become a collector's item, packed with in-depth tips and techniques and a great source of inspiration for modellers of all levels and genres.
