On 17 October 1944, the Allies launched an operation to land on the island of Leyte in the Philippines. In conjunction with the Battle of Leyte, the Japanese Army and Navy launched Operation Tago, a joint operation to transport reinforcements to Ormoc on the west coast of Leyte. In this article, the makers focus on the outstanding operations and ships from the first to the ninth operation. For example, the H81 convoy that transported the Army's 23rd Division to defend the island of Luzon is also featured.
