This modelling manual explains step by step how to realistically reproduce the metal surface of aircraft without painting. The booklets in this series almost completely dispense with explanatory texts, relying instead on lavish illustrations and symbols that show the modeller how to proceed step by step. Of course, the techniques explained here can also be applied to aeroplanes from the 1950s and 1960s, just think of the gleaming silver "Sabres" or the paintless B-52s. But various Soviet aircraft types from the Cold War period also flew without a coat of paint at times.
