Following the conclusion of the Carinthian Defensive Struggles in 1919, the State of Carinthia instituted the Carinthian Cross as a commemorative badge for those who participated in the conflict. In this debut work, the author explores the historical background of this award. Furthermore, the known variants of the Carinthian Cross are presented through both text and illustrations. Accompanying award certificates, miniatures, and a wealth of other material round out the volume. This edition is further supplemented by a section covering the awards associated with the Styrian Struggles for Freedom of 1919 (specifically, the Honorary Medal of the City of Radkersburg and the Styrian Commemorative Medal of 1960).
