Description
Volume 18 of the series "Africa@War" describes the war between Ethiopia and Somalia in 1978/79 with special emphasis on the air operations of both sides. It presents the equipment, training. Air combat tactics as well as the air victories won during the conflict known as the Ogaden War. The work explains how the Ethiopian Air Force achieved its aerial warfare successes with its F-5E "Tiger" II fighter-bombers, virtually annihilating the Somali Air Force, which flew mostly Soviet aircraft.
