Divided into the four groups of generals, staff officers, subaltern officers, non-commissioned officers and enlisted men, this reference work contains all important data on the approximately 2,000 most highly decorated members of the Waffen-SS. For this purpose, the personnel files and the master index cards of the persons concerned, as well as the indexes for the highest decorations from the Federal Archives and the US National Archives were systematically evaluated.
