This illustrated book presents a large number of photos of Danish volunteers who served in the Waffen-SS between 1941 and 1943 in the Freikorps Denmark. The work traces the history of this relatively small Waffen-SS unit from its formation in 1941 to its disbandment a few years later. During its two periods of service on the Eastern Front, the Freikorps Denmark suffered heavy losses and was incorporated into the SS Division Nordland in 1943 on the orders of the Waffen-SS High Command. Many of the photos shown here have not been published before.
