Description
The third volume and the eerily multi-layered finale of a suspenseful trilogy about the central event of the Rococo. True-to-life, exact descriptions without partisanship immerse the reader in hitherto rarely described but authentically documented vicissitudes of events until the end on all fronts. By means of modern navigation systems, all locations, battles and marches are geographically linked in the text in such a way that it is never necessary to look at the maps for orientation.
After seven campaigns full of tragedy and irony, the most improbable of all possibilities finally came to pass. The Hohenzollern state, from which the unification of the German Empire was to emanate a good hundred years later in 1871, survived. Prussia narrowly escaped being dismembered or downgraded to an electorate by a series of strange coincidences as well as by skill. In the end, there was a clear outcome to the war after a previously completely improbable course of events.
The book is very opulently furnished with countless pewter figure scenes that look like film clips or paintings, as well as colour reproductions of many historical pictures, maps and plans.
