The memoirs of a British veteran of the Napoleonic Wars. Adam Reed enlisted in 1806 to serve in the II Battalion of the British 47th (Lancashire) Infantry Regiment. He served with his regiment at Cadiz, took part in the Battle of Barrosa, experienced the sieges of Tarragona and Tarifa, took part in the march on Madrid and the capture of Seville, fought at Vitoria, took part in the second assault on San Sebastian and still fought in the battles at Nivelle, Nive and finally at Bayonne.
