Description
Brussels, June 1815. Richard Sharpe is serving on the personal staff of the Prince of Orange. The latter, however, stubbornly refuses to take Sharpe's warning seriously that Napoleon is moving towards them at the head of a massive army. So the battle of Waterloo ensues, and a military catastrophe is in the offing. But just when Allied victory seems impossible, Sharpe takes command - and the bloodiest battle of his career becomes his greatest triumph.
