Description
In great detail, this volume presents the current standard weapons of the American infantry soldier, the M16A2 rifle and the shorter carbine variants M4 and M4A1 respectively. Both weapon models are presented in great detail in words and pictures. However, not only the current versions of these firearms are shown, but also the technical development of the weapon from the first variants to the present is documented. A double page also shows the Israeli variants, the M653 rifle and the IDF M4 carbine. Much space is devoted to the extensive accessories of these weapons, including the M203 grenade launcher, the magazines, grip plates and rifle butts, the mountable bipod, various optical shooting aids (scopes, laser pointers, lamps, etc.). The extensive computer system worn on the body by US infantrymen, including various helmet displays, is also presented and explained here in its entirety.
