The emphasis is on mostly unpublished historical photos, which give an impression of the possible uses of the Gleisketten-Lkw "Maultier". Where it seemed necessary especially for modellers, detailed photos of preserved vehicles from museums and private collections are shown. The
result can be found in the model building chapter, where the four models built by Tony Greenland are presented. Technical crack drawings by John Rue and based on them several pages of camouflage schemes based on original photos by Laurent Lecocq complete the presentation
Although more than 22000 vehicles in the "Mule" series were built in the second half of WW2, only a few publications describing this interesting vehicle type in more detail have appeared in the last 50 years. Now that apparently leading manufacturers of model kits have entered the market for unarmoured support vehicles. German and English text, paperback, approx. 341 photos, 222 of them historical bw-photos from regulations and operations. partly published for the first time, 86 colour photos of the still existing vehicles in museums and private collections, 24 colour photos of the models built by Tony Greenland, German / English captions, 78 scale drawings of all versions and details in 1:35 scale, 16 colour plates with different camouflage schemes incl. markings and wartime strength records of the units equipped with these vehicles, large format. 160 pages.
