In this issue, we will focus on an unusual topic for a scale modeling magazine - pre-assembled Die-Cast and plastic models available in an endless variety of intriguing subjects for painting and weathering, presenting simple tricks and more complex techniques used when working on metal or plastic pre-assembled replicas and point out the most common correctable defects found with this type of model and explain the simple ways to easily correct visible screws or a thick layer of factory lacquer.
Once an interesting object with precise details has been selected, all that remains is to bring it to life with the right and appropriate weathering effects. This is the leitmotif of this issue of "Weathering Magazine". It shows the reader simple tricks and more complex techniques that are used when working on prefabricated replicas made of metal and plastic. The magazine points out the most common correctable errors found on this type of model and explains the simple ways to easily remove visible screws or a thick layer of factory paint. Overview of the models presented: Doosan DX140w (1:50); Lancia Stratos (Sun Star, 1:18); ZIL-157 Fire Truck (Start Scale Models, 1:43); Douglas A-1 Skyraider (Hobby Master, 1:72); Renfe Series 303 Switcher Locomotive (1:87); The Red's Big Blue (Soviet AT-T caterpillar tractor from the post-war years; Premium Classixx, 1:43); Shoretrooper (Star Wars; Kotobukiya/ArtFX, 1:10); Rough Rider (Mercedes-Benz O 321H coach; Hachette 1:43).
