From the contents: Training aircraft: D 520m I./JG 107, 1943; Aircraft pilot school C t; Photos with history: The true story of the "Lion" emblem of Hptm. Bär at I./JG 77; Reconnaissance aircraft: Me 262 A-1a/U3, 2./NAGr. 6, 1945; Bombers: Do 17 Z-2, 3rd /KG 76, 1940; Personal emblems: "Lili Marleen" goes on a journey; Machines in focus: The II./StG 2 in action before Stalingrad in late summer 1942. Emblems and marking practices on the Stukas of the "Bamberger-Reiter" group; Documents: Night leave card; Fates; What is mostly kept silent about.... The fate of fighter pilot Hptm. Fritz Geißhardt; Unusual: Meeting far away from home; Unknown emblems: The Owl Squadron - 2nd (H)/13 - and its emblem; Seaplanes: Norway, dangerous terrain for seaplanes.
Overall, as in the whole series, there are again almost exclusively classy reproductions of b/w and colour photos away from the mainstream of Bf 109s etc. on subjects such as training aircraft, unknown emblems, seaplanes (two spectacular photos of accidents in fjords), a Ju 52 named "Lili Marleen" etc. The thematic and spatial focus is a longer report on the deployment of the II Group of Stukageschwader 2 in the late summer of 1942 before Stalingrad. Again, many very well reproduced photos and colour profiles of the aircraft.
