The actions of the German armoured forces during the Second World War are well known. However, the actions of the armoured forces of the German allies have not yet been so accurately described. While it is true that their performance was generally inferior to that of the armed forces of the German Reich, the actions of the Hungarian armoured forces, who not only managed to organise their own armoured forces with a high degree of autonomy, but also to develop their own armaments industry capable of supplying their troops with weapons and equipment, should be highlighted. This book will thus reveal a little-known side of Hungarian participation in the Second World War through the photographs provided by the author and his co-workers.

This story takes the reader from the beginning of the campaign against the USSR and the subsequent conquest of large Soviet territories to the bloody battles to prevent the advance of the Soviet and Romanian counter-offensive in Hungary (the Siege of Budapest) and the final battles on Austrian and Slovenian territory before the army's unconditional surrender.
The author emphasises the courage of these men and the terrible fate that was to befall the Hungarian armoured troops when the Soviet army invaded Hungary.
